Makrand runs his own consulting company called Siddharth Learning Systems. |

Parag Bhise, BSC, ICWA has over 25 years of rich experience in standard costing, materials management, MIS, IT strategies and systems development and has served organizations like GKW, Shoppers Stop, AToZ Retail Group, Powernet Technologies before joining the Concept Jewelry Group as Retail Analyst. Parag has conceptualised and set up category and inventory management systems for retail companies both in the apparel and home furnishing marketplace as well as lifestyle jewelry sectors and has been writing retail related articles in national and international magazines for quite sometime. He brings with him immense knowledge in category, merchandising and inventory management systems in the retail business.

Kiran Despande, BSC, BSC Tech, MFM is a techno-management specialist with vast knowledge in project management, strategic planning, management consulting and training having served organizations such as Bombay Dyeing, First Aid Medicines, Corn Products, Godrej Soaps before venturing on his own to set up Apna Bazaar Retail Stores and retail training cum consulting business practice. Kiran is a visiting faculty with NMIMS, Chetana Management Institute in Finance, Production, ERP and Retailing. |

Chopde, MCom, MBA, M.Phil, is an educationist of repute having more than 3 decades of teaching experience in Finanacial Management, Taxation, Strategic Cost Management, Cost & Management Accounting and Marketing Finance. He has written more than 50 books in accounts and finance, taxation and costing management and is a regular faculty with MET Institute of Management and IIPM, Mumbai.

Mangalnath Ghorpade, has several years of work experience as a manager, organizer and business advisor in almost every phase of the management of business in food, hospitality, media and retail industry.
He has lived and worked abroad for eight and a half years and has travelled the world extensively, studying retail customer service techniques and marketing as practiced by businesses world-wide.He is one of the pioneers of the modern retailing in the country. He was the lead consultant to AToZ retail group and was the first to create a planned, stand alone superstore to reposition the 70 year old retail brand in Mumbai. He is a visiting faculty at leading business schools of Mumbai and teaches Retail ERP, Retail management, Visual merchandising and Mall management, Public Relations and Corporate communication. He is also involved with MDP's for retail multiples. His inborn talent and natural gifts combined with richness of life experiences and wealth of character and wisdom make him little (bit of a) philosopher, teacher, guide and a friend or perhaps all of them. Though member of the professional community, this also makes him different and special.

Dr. Raja Roy Choudhury, MSc(Eco), MS (Psychotherapy), MBA, PHD, Certified Lead Auditor, is the Programme Director, ReStore, Russell Square International College, Mumbai having over 20 years of rich experience in Strategic Planning, Sales & Marketing, Research, Training & Development in critical domain areas such as IT Education & Consulting, Business Process Redesign & Change Management, TQM & ISO 9000 QMS, International Trade, Immigration & Study Overseas, Media, Office Automation and Retailing. He has served organizations such as Price Waterhouse, Datapro, Aptech, Zeba, AToZ, Times Group in senior management positions before embarking upon an international assignment as CEO, Fuji Xerox in South Pacific. He returned back to India in May, 2006 and since then has been working on research, training and development activities pertaining to the growth of retailing as a sunrise industry in India. He has received his doctorate in technology induced retailing for his pioneering work in converting a philatelic bureau called Post Fiji into a convergence retailing hub and the related technology & quality systems associated with such a change.He is authoring a book on technology induced retailing (a complete software process model) which would significantly benefit the student community as well as the professionals in the retail and IT sector.

Arun Moorthy, BE(Electronics & Instrumentation), MBA, Marketing, have an overall experience of 15 years in marketing and sales of industrial measurement, controls and communications products. He is currently working as a Country Head-SAARC for Echelon Corporation, a US based multinational organization. Echelon is a pioneer, innovator and a world leader in control networks and is responsible for the creation of the multibillion dollar Lonworks Industry which is recognized as an open industry accepted standard and finds applications across industry verticals like buildings, retail and light commercial, transportation, industrial automation and power utilities. Arun is a regular speaker on subjects such as energy management and lowering of carbon emission, crusade against global warming besides his flair for sales and marketing.

Bipin Gurnani, CEO of Provogue is a graduate from Lucknow University and an Associate Diploma Holder in Sales & Marketing from Australia. Bipin has about 12 years of experience in hospitality and 6 years in retail. Prior to joining Piramyd, he was working with some of the well known chains around the world namely, Taj Group and Ramada Grand Hotel, Australia. Bipin joined Piramyd in 2001 as GM Operations and became COO in 2005, being credited with the success of Pyramid Megastore and Trumart. Today, he brings valuable experience to Provogue as their CEO.

Brigitta G Abraham, MA (Personnel Management & IR, TISS) is an exponent in Human Resources & Organizational Development with clear focus in the retail sector having worked with Shoppers’ Stop Ltd as GM (HR) from 1993 till 2002. Since 2002, she has been on her own as a freelance consultant helping retail companies such as India Fashions, Sankalp Retail Value Stores and even Retailers Association of India (RAI) in strategic areas of HR importance such as setting up HR systems, recruiting and training employees, employee welfare, development and relations, employee retention planning and value building.. Brigitta was a top ranking student in her earlier days having won many academic awards at school, college and PG level.

Rajesh Mehta, known as a marketing wizard, Rajesh has over 17 years of experience in strategic planning, marketing, branding, media planning and buying. Rajesh Mehta joined Emami Ltd around a year back, as Vice President- Marketing. He is responsible for Emami’s entry into New Categories in FMCG. Prior to joining Emami, Rajesh was with Pidilite Ltd as ,Head-Marketing (Fevicol), leading marketing operations for Adhesive and Wood Preservative category products. Before joining Pidilite, he spent six eventful years at Rasna as General Manager Marketing. He had moved to Rasna from Tips and Toes where he worked as a Marketing Manager.
An engineering graduate in Production from Mumbai University, and with a Diploma in Marketing Management, Rajesh began his career at Mukand Ltd., Mumbai as a Graduate Engineer Trainee in the Methods & Product Development department. As Executive Assistant to the Director in the same company, he managed all activities relating to Capital Project Monitoring and Control before launching his career in marketing. |
