RSIC is pleased to announce the three year undergraduate Programme of BSc Psychology honours degree from University of London under the academic guidance of King’s College London. The course is taught at RSIC’s Mumbai campus in Juhu.-

Programme Learning Outcomes
A graduate of this programme will be able to:
- Demonstrate a sound understanding of all the main areas of psychology
- Demonstrate the ability to exercise critical judgement in the evaluation of research in the field
- Apply a critical understanding of essential concepts, principles and research in psychology
- Critically evaluate the results, in the context of loosely defined scenarios, using structured arguments based in empirical evidence
- Demonstrate the ability to produce a substantial piece of original or empirical research work including – study design, data collection, analysis and reporting

- Studying psychology opens up opportunities to develop careers across a range of sectors such as education, healthcare, social care, criminal and legal services.
- The degree could lead to a career in areas such as forensic psychology, health psychology, youth services, counselling or human resource management.

Programme Structure
The BSc Psychology consists of:
1st Year
Eight 15-credit compulsory subjects
2nd Year
Eight 15-credit compulsory subjects
3rd Year
Six 15-credit compulsory subjects and One 30-credit Research Project
Assessment
- There are 2 assessment semesters in a year and examinations take place in March & September
- The overall module mark is calculated by weighting the marks achieved for the two elements of assessment in a ratio of 30:70.
- The final year Research project is assessed by an 8,000 words report of original research.
- Coursework is to be submitted within the prescribed deadlines.
All essential resources, activities, discussions, and support are provided through the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). A student need not buy any text books. If required, the student can find additional resources at the RSIC library.
